Your words should be filled with fear and awe,like a servant standing before his master.You should be ashamed to sin in front of people

"And if we are like slaves, we look to You to be kind to us and judge us for good. You who are awesome and holy." (Mussaf, Rosh Hashanah)

We should always look at ourselves as half full of sins and half full of mitzvos. (Kiddushin 40) Everything that we do has the power to tip the scales. A slave must always be on his best behavior, afraid of how he will be judged.
